ADAM SIMHA HANGS KNIVES IN THE SHOP!
I don't have an article to link, but this is big news in the progression of our wee endeavor. Adam brought 2 beautiful handmade pieces down from Boston--a 10.5" slicer with a sculpted wa handle, and a gorgeous Chinese style cleaver--as well as a couple funky pieces from his midtech line. Here it begins--the Cut Brooklyn Workshop!

EATOCRACY 5@5
Friend and awesome Brooklynite Kat Kinsman, who is also managing editor at CNN's Eatocracy, got me hooked up with what I think is a fantastic platform to clue folks into some necessary but more nuanced info on knife care. And check out the new photos from Emily Baltz!

THE BROOKLYN KITCHEN
If you're passing anywhere near Williamsburg you can't go wrong taking the time to stop in to see Taylor and Harry at the Brooklyn Kitchen over on Frost Street. Not only do they carry the coolest gear in town but everyone who works there is awesome. They offer a whole range of laid back and super informative courses too, from knife skills to tea classes and even one on how to butcher a pig.
NY DAILY NEWS TAKES NOTICE
Veronika Belenkaya from the NY Daily News came to check out the shop last week and did a little Brooklyn section write up for the paper. "Awesome"! Even awesomer, some very cool local folks picked it up, including the crew at Racked, and I even managed to ninja my way into the NY Times.
