Available Knives: 10 December, 2017
Hard to believe but this here is the second to last wall of the year folks. One more next Sunday and it’s on to 2018. A lot of sleepless nights between now and then, but finding a nice stride in the shop so it should make for a nice year-end punch and a good productive January too. Until then though, have a look and I’m hoping these will put a few smiles on come Christmas morning. Left to right:
...that’s an Osaka Journeyman 180 in cladded Hitachi Blue #2 carbon steel and black walnut, with forest green and white details ($550—Sold), a Journeyman 210 in 52100 carbon steel and funky maple, with red and white liners and red, steel and brass mosaic pins ($650–Sold), an Osaka Journeyman 240 in cladded Hitachi Blue #2 and spalted maple, with a little white ($750—Sold), a Journeyman 120 in 1095 carbon steel and yellow and white striped black G10, with white, steel and brass mosaic pins ($350—Sold), a Journeyman 210 in 52100 and white-striped blue G10, with white, steel and brass mosaic pins ($650—Sold), a Journeyman 240 in 52100 and black walnut, with forest green and white liners and white, steel and brass mosaic pins ($750–Sold), and a Journeyman 180 in 52100 and spalted maple, with blue, steel and brass mosaic pins ($550—Sold).
All of that wood comes from downed trees dragged out of the state forest up the hill from my place upstate, and all of those beautiful mosaic pins were made by the fantastically talented Sally Martin of Provision Forge, in Oregon. These all come with sayas made for each here in the shop, and new stuff goes up here on Sundays at 3pm. Next week will be the last wall of the year, and after that we’ll get cranking again in the new year.
Hit me with an email if one of these belongs under your tree, and have a beautiful winter week!
